Питер Слагуис был одним из лучших ди-джеев в мире танцевальной музыки, середины и конца восьмидесятых. Проживающий в Голландии, Питер Слагуис становится известным в мире underground djs после его четырнадцати миксов-альбомов "Disco Breaks".

Peter Slaghuis в конце 80х стал известным как Peter Hithouse.


Питером создается и много ремиксов, особенно популярным и самым продаваемым стала работа Nu Shooz hit "I can't wait", в 1986 году, которая продавалась миллионным тиражом. В 1984 году он работал для Video Kids, создавая сингл "Woodpeckers from space". В конце 80х когда в Европе популярным стилем музыки становится стиль House, Питер - один из первых голландских ди-джеев, кто работает с этим стилем. Его превая работа сделаная в 1988/89 под именем Hithouse. - "Jack to the sound of the underound "
Эта песня имеет большой успех и поднимается к 14 номеру в музыкальных чартах Великобритании.
Семплы из этого ремикса будут использоваться многими ди-джееми, в своих миксах.

Однако, не все работы Питера были удачны.
Сделаные Hithouse синглы "Move your feet to the rhythm of the beat" и для Kelly Charles' "You're no good for me" не имели большого успеха...
Позже Питер совместно с другом джеем Paul Elstak, делают ремикс Мадонны "La Isla Bonita" DMC remix также и участвует в проектах Holy Noise.

Последней работой Питер Hithouse была ремкс версия Technotronic megahit "Pump up the jam".
5 Сентября 1991года, Питер Слагуис погибаетет в автомобильной катастрофе. :((
Но этот человек навсегда останется в истории танцевальной музыки, как человек принесший свой вклад в развитие электронной музыки.

В 1999 году "Jack to the sound of the underound" был повторно ремиксирован DONS, Klubbheads, SM Trax & DJ LEE (12" MoBizz)
